Technology Department – Lead Developer, Technical Adminstrators

UtahGunExchange.com is looking to hire a lead developer to help manage its growing community of websites, including UtahGunExchange.com and UGETube.com. The right individual will have 10+ years of programming experience, capabilities to lead a dev team including managing scrums and completing day-to-day development tasks, and will be excited to take on the role of facilitating the growing vision of UGE and its initiatives in a leadership and tactical role while working with the leadership team, including direct reports to UGE’s CTO.
Tech stack is currently PHP, WordPress, and Python, but the right dev will be able to master technology as needed to facilitate the right development goals and be excited to support a user base of 100,000+ on the various platforms we create as they continue to be implemented at a rapid rate. We already have a team working on all these initiatives, but we need a leader to help during the day, each day, to turn these visions into a reality.
Video encoding, algorithmic content serving, HA and full redundancy with zero-downtime…this is the fun stuff, and it’s fun to be able to offer a chance to the right candidate to have their dream job in an environment that already is continuously integrated with a dev team and sysadmin team hard at work at supporting us and a tech executive to handle the business side for you in place. 🙂

TECHNICAL ADMINISTRATOR (X2)
Additionally, our team is looking for two additional technical administrators to join our admin team. The role of a technical administrator is to QA, support and configure systems, including our own systems of UtahGunExchange.com and UGETube.com, and third party systems such as ZenDesk, email clients, etc. IT experience preferred, but not 100% necessary — attention to detail, a technical acumen, and a willingness to research and solve problems and to work hard to understand the technologies available to support our customer service team and community is paramount. If you’re a technical person looking for an entry-level IT/dev position, this is absolutely perfect for you.
