Our Founding Fathers knew that our newly formed country would face many challenges, from enemies both foreign and domestic. The Constitution would never have been ratified by the original 13 colonies if the Second Amendment hadn’t been included. But today as never before, politicians and movements are challenging the very core of our existence. Some would have you believe that only a ‘musket’ would be covered by the Second Amendment, but we of course know that is not true. But now, you CAN have a musket in the form of a modern sporting rifle!

These AR-15 lowers are made for The Spirit of 76 using only the best US made forgings available. So many domestic AR manufacturers are now using foreign sourced forgings that often have soft spots in them, but these are made of the best 7076 T6 in the world. These foreign sourced forgings still allow the final product to be ‘Made in the US‘ but there is a quality difference. Combined with a Hard-Coat Anodized Mil 8625 Type 3 Class 2 – Matte Black finish and the extra features and you have a really top class product!  No more marring of the receiver when putting in the bolt stop, as it is held in place by an easy to install screw instead of a roll pin. Uppers and lowers will fit together as tight as you would like, with the built in nylon tipped upper receiver tensioning screw that will let you control the fit. And the rear takedown pin is held in place by a set screw, so no more crushed detent springs or lost springs if you change out the end plate. These small features make your build easier and nicer, and only are found on upper end receivers, like this one.

The logo is a modern adaptation of the Minute Man statue, showing the minuteman stepping away from his plow to join up and serve in the militia. It is probably the most recognized image of the revolutionary era, right up there with the Liberty Bell. This Minuteman has an AR-15 in his hands, the modern musket if you will, and stands ready to defend his or her country.

The Musket-15 lower will take any industry standard lower parts kit or drop in trigger and is an RDIAS compatible low shelf M4 pocket type receiver. It can be built into either a rifle or a pistol and will mate up with any industry standard upper receiver, either with or without a forward assist.
