Description
There are two rare, original sniper versions of the M1 Garand, the rare M1D and the very rare M1C. This is a rare and excellent WWII M1D purchased from the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) in 2007, with accompanying CMP Certificate of Authenticity. I also have an extremely rare M1C for sale (see my other adds). Even among M1D Garands, this one is very collectible as it is in excellent condition, with CMP documentation and from the best period of manufacture near the end of WWII. I have 50 close up pictures of every part of this beautiful rifle disassembled and assembled. I can send pics to you. There is no risk or question about what you are getting here. Do not get fooled by buying one that was turned into an M1D and not an original M1D. This is an original M1D in a condition and from the time period that very rarely comes to market and is very collectible. This M1D and the M1C I am selling are in very similar condition and are very close in manufacture date and serial #s on parts, which makes them an excellent pair, probably even more collectible and valuable as a pair. They are being sold separately in separate adds.
