Sporterized Arisaka Type 38

Description

This is an Arisaka Type 38 that has been rechambered in 6.5×55 from the original 6.5x50sr. I bought it with a really bad chambering job and then finished the rechamber and have verified it with both headspace gauges and proofed it with 60k psi rounds with no ill effects. It has been sporterized with a monte carlo stock and the sights have been removed, but the barrel is full-length. The brass comes out with slightly rounded shoulders but otherwise intact. It’s also unfortunately been drilled and tapped for the world’s most custom scope mount right through the otherwise intact mum. Bolt handle has also been turned down. Toss a scope on it and it’d make a decent deer rifle. Rifling is in excellent condition.
