Available for purchase is a classic Sig Sauer P239 in 9mm. This  specific unit was manufactured in August 2009 (as per born on date on case). This is the highly regarded “legacy” era of Sig’s all metal, single stack production. Known for its exceptional balance and reliability, the P239 was the gold standard for a concealable, professional grade backup pistol before its discontinuation in 2018. It is regarded as an “old school” carry pistol that has become a bit of a cult classic since it was discontinued. It was carried by plainclothes law enforcement and federal agents including the Secret Service and Navy seals for decades. It was produced starting in 1996 until 2018. This gun was purchased from Sportsman Warehouse in St George in 2009.

The P239 is a double action/single action with a decocking lever to lower the hammer safely to make a long double action first shot. Unlike most modern compact 9mms that are polymer, the P239 has an aluminum alloy frame and a stainless steel slide. This gives it a “heft” that makes it much softer to shoot and  more balanced than a lighter plastic gun.

Gun comes with two Gen Sig 8 round magazines, original case, owners manual, lock and a Hogue tamer after market grip. Also a kydex inside the waist holster. The gun has been fired very little since purchase and is in great condition.
