Rifle Stock – Peak 44 Bastion Carbon Fiber Stock (Long Action)

Description

Peak 44 Bastion stock, pulled from my Weatherby 307 Alpine CT. Long action, 24 oz carbon fiber, vertical grip with ambidextrous palm swell, dual front sling studs, factory 3D-Hex recoil pad.

Fits Weatherby Model 307 long-action rifles and Rem 700-pattern clone actions inlet to the same footprint. Common chamberings: 6.5 PRC, .270 Win, 7mm Rem Mag, 28 Nosler, .280 Ackley Improved, .300 Win Mag, .30-06 Sprg, .300 PRC, .25-06 Rem, 6.5-300 Wby Mag, 26 Nosler, 6.5-284 Norma, 6.5×55 Swedish Mauser, .264 Win Mag, 27 Nosler, .280 Rem, 7 STW, 7mm Mauser, .300 RUM, 30 Nosler, .338 Win Mag, .338 Lapua, 33 Nosler, .338 RUM, .35 Whelen, 9.3×62mm Mauser, .375 H&H, .375 Ruger (among others).

Selling because I’m moving to a heavier stock to tame recoil on my 300 PRC build — nothing wrong with the stock itself, it’s simply built for weight savings over shootability, which isn’t the tradeoff I want for magnum loads. Great option for anyone building a 307 or Rem-clone rifle in a mild-to-moderate recoiling chambering, or anyone who wants the ultralight backcountry weight and is fine with the recoil tradeoff.

IMPORTANT: This stock was glass-bedded to my specific barreled action, so it will need to be re-bedded to your rifle before use — this is standard for any precision carbon fiber stock changing hands, not a defect. Peak 44 sells a bedding kit (~$25) and has video tutorials on their site walking through the process — it’s a straightforward job for anyone comfortable with basic gunsmithing, or any local gunsmith can handle it for a modest fee.
