I’ve only shot enough to do load development, and the loads were all incredible. 67.5 gr H1000 loaded to 3.200″ OAL shoots incredibly small groups at 2750 FPS. Over 69.5, it’s 2850 FPS and same size groups.

I wanted an ELR gun, but honestly, I just don’t shoot ELR comps, so it’s been sitting in my safe after a year with only 30 rounds (for load development) down the barrel. I bought a single lot of h1000 and 220 Hybrids for this. This could double as an elk gun if you’re ok with hauling a heavier barrel.

SAAMI nerfed the 300 WSM when it was put explicitly as short action. CUPR ordered a custom reamer for my own specs, loading this to COAL of 3.200. This rifle gets the 200s going the same speed as a PRC or 300 Norma, but for 15% less powder charge. A lot of guys aiming for 2850 with the PRC, and this is nearly 10 grains lower charge weight. The world record at 1000 yards is held with a 300 WSM. It’s the dasher of the .30 cals.
