Description

Selling a custom-built precision rifle built on the legendary Mauser 98 action. This is a dedicated long-range setup chambered in 6mm-284 Winchester, a high-performance wildcat known for incredibly flat trajectories and superior wind-bucking ability.
While I am selling this as a complete rifle, the individual components represent a high-value starting point for a custom builder or a serious handloader.
Build Component Breakdown:
• Action ($350+ Value): Large-ring Mauser 98. Features the classic controlled-round feed and large “claw” extractor. The bolt has been professionally turned down for scope clearance.
• Barrel ($400+ Value): Polished Heavy Bull Barrel. Designed for maximum heat dissipation and harmonic stability. The 6mm-284 chambering is a “laser” for varmints or steel out to 1,000 yards.
• Custom Sporter Stock: Vintage 1960s-era woodwork, glass-bedded for improved accuracy.
The Specs:
• Action: Mauser 98 (Large Ring)
• Caliber: 6mm-284 Win (Wildcat )
• Barrel Profile: Polished Bull Barrel
• Condition: Excellent bore; action is smooth and tight.
Price: $900.00
Note: This is a wildcat caliber. If you are a reloader looking for a donor 98 action and a premium bull barrel, this is a turn-key solution.
