Description

Dan Wesson’s Specialist was designed at the request of a police department that needed a 1911-style handgun that was more durable and reliable than the ones their officers were carrying. As a result, the Specialist comes fully equipped with a wide array of performance enhancing features.

These features include an undercut trigger guard to place the shooter’s hand in an optimal position, and a recessed slide stop is included to accommodate the installation of laser grips. The sights are composed of snag-free Novak-style fixed sights, with illuminated tritium lamps for accurate shooting in low light environments.

The Specialist also features an inverted top rib running between the front and rear sights to help reduce glare for a clean sight picture in any lighting condition.
