Seekins Slam M3 6mm Creedmoor

This is a Seekins Slam M3 that I ordered through their custom shop. It features their hand laid carbon Slam chassis (not the cheaper composite ‘Element Hunter’ chassis) paired with the Seekins’ new Element M3 action. This action is quite cool in that it was built for modern high-pressure rounds (e.g., 6.5 + Peak, 7 Backcountry) and exhibits quick change barrel and bolt-head compatibility, allowing you change this to virtually any short-action caliber you’d like with a ~$550 prefit from Seekins.

I opted for Seekins’ 22″ fluted steal barrel given the lighter weight profile and improved stiffness relative their carbon barrels. I had to pay up for this and order it through their custom shop but the accuracy and overall weight of the gun suggest it was worth it!

This is the most accurate rifle I’ve ever owned. I just don’t use it enough to justify it, and have a busy fall schedule this year with kid sports that will keep me from getting out on a hunt with it. Figured I’d sale it now and try and recoup some of what it cost me when I had it built last August. You can backorder the same gun today through Seekins or EuroOptic but will be ~5k out the door.

It has 175 rounds down the barrel and is in really good condition. Couple small scratches on the barrel if I remember right but otherwise could pass as ‘like new’. I’ve attached pictures of a 4 round group from last time I had it out a couple months back. It is shooting Gunwerks 115 Berger loads at ~2,930 fps. Happy to throw in a box of those for free to the buyer.

Extras included in the sale include: Seekins Scope Mount Rings (installed as seen in picture); Seekins Bag Rider (installed as seen in picture); MDT Carbon Grip (installed as seen in picture); Seekins Hunter Arca (installed as seen in picture); SRS Pictanny (installed as seen in picture).

The gun will not include the scope seen in the picture. While not in the picture, I have the factory Seekins muzzle brake it came with and will throw that on.

The gun weighed a hair under 6 pounds before installing the scope, rings, rails, and bag rider.
