Description
This is an all-original 1st Generation Colt Single Action Army in its original .44-40 caliber with the 4¾” barrel. It comes with a Colt Archive factory letter dated January 7, 2026. The letter confirms the gun’s configuration (.44-40, 4¾”, blue, rubber stocks) and states that it shipped on March 25, 1898, to Hartley & Graham in New York City, one of the largest arms dealers of its day, as part of a 10-gun shipment.

The gun has never been refinished or converted, and it has its original caliber, barrel length, and grips. The original blue has worn to an even gray patina with light surface wear.  See all photos for condition. They’re the best description of this gun.

The original Colt factory letter is included.
