Weatherby Vanguard Camilla

Great hunting rifle for most women and youth. We love this rifle, but my wife developed some neck issues that make it uncomfortable with no brake or suppressor. Carried for the past 5 deer seasons on Dedicated Hunter tags.

The Camilla is the women’s model designed with a shorter length of pull, shorter overall length, and a bit lighter than the standard Vanguard, as well as a slightly higher comb on the Monte Carlo-style stock. Shooting hand grip is also a bit smaller. Small changes, but made for a really comfortable shooting experience for my wife compared to standard rifles. Good 2-stage trigger. About 100 rounds through it. Shoots an inch at 100yds on paper, and my wife used to ring 6″ plates at 200 no problem from field positions. A few scratches are on the upper left hand side of the stock near the bolt, see pictures. These are from carrying with a sling on the right shoulder, brushing against packs.

Weight w/o scope, unloaded: 6.5lbs (7.5 on standard Vanguard)

Will sell as rifle only for $800, or with the scope for $1000.

Have some boxes of 7mm-08 I will throw in for free.

Bipod not included.

Scope is Leupold VX-3I 3.5-10 x 40mm, with Leupold flip-up caps. Duplex reticle. Zeroed at 200 yards. Has a scratch under one of the mounting rings.

Everything purchased new in 2020.
