T86 Style Short Stroke AR-15

Description

This rifle is a bit of a unicorn, a short stroke gas piston build using an Anderson lower and an upper I bought from Davidson Defense about a year or so ago. I’ve often referred to it as a T86, former primary rifle of the Republic of China Armed Forces, but it’s not precisely the same. The receiver appears to be a standard A1 carry handle upper, but the bolt carrier group, barrel, gas system and handguard all appear to be authentic T86 or T91 parts. Charging handle is T91 as well. Barrel is ~12″ long with a pinned and welded extended flash hider to bring it to ~18″. Gas piston has been given a general clean and wipe down, comes with M4 style stock and Magpul K grip. Haven’t had any functional problems with it.
