As the pictures show, this box of 50 rounds of M1 .30 carbine ammunition was produced by the Lake City Ordnance Plant and sold for military use.

Based upon the Lot # on the box, this ammo was produced in the Late 1970’s, and has maintained being sealed since.

If you look online, similar 50 round boxes of this era; most of which are in rough shape; have asking prices starting at $40.00 and go up to $59.95 on one collector site.

Therefore, my asking price of $30.00 for a true military ammo collectible box of M1 Carbine; and ammo that is perfectly safe to shoot as well; is only $0.60/round. You can’t buy junk 30 carbine ammo for that cost, and this is definitely high quality coming from the Lake City Ordnance Plant.
