RATTLER V2 Thermal Imaging Scope – mounted on a gun, briefly, but never hunted with. I purchased this and then was gifted another and I don’t need two – at least that’s what the wife says!

The RattlerV2 25-256, an upgraded version of the Rattler TS25-256, offers an excellent budget-friendly option for close-range night hunts, beginners entering the world of thermal hunting, or as a secondary scope for your hunting buddy.

This model comes equipped with a 25mm Germanium lens, a 256×192 resolution thermal sensor, and a 3.5x base magnification, delivering a detection range of up to 1,250 yards. Among the two 384-resolution options, the RattlerV2 25-256 stands out with its higher base magnification and a slightly narrower field of view (7.0° × 5.3° or 37 ft @ 100 yds), providing a balanced blend of scanning coverage and enhanced identification at greater distances. The upgrade to a 50 Hz refresh rate ensures smoother scanning with minimal lag.

The RattlerV2 25-256 builds on the features familiar to AGM Rattler users, while introducing several game-changing enhancements. The battery compartment has been redesigned to support a rechargeable battery, extending run time to 11.5 hours. Additional standout features include Shot Activated Recording, a simplified menu layout, and 10 reticle options with multiple zeroing profiles for various calibers and rifles.
