Rare Vincenzo Bernardelli .58 cal 1861 Springfield Musket replica. Imported by Replica Arms, Ridgefield NJ. Serial #17XX — early production. Italian Gardone proof marked. Shoots black powder. 33.5″ Barrel
Eagle with “U.S.” under the hammer (lock plate) which I think points to this being a 1861 Springfield Musket replica.
I last shot it deer hunting in 1994. I do not know a lot about it other than what I can find on the internet.
