Developed by Israel Weapon Industries (IWI), the Carmel is chambered in 5.56 NATO and operates on a short-stroke gas piston system. It is equipped with a free-floating, cold-hammer-forged 16″ barrel with fully ambidextrous controls. Rifle accepts AR-15 (STANAG) magazines. The rifle’s monolithic aluminum upper receiver incorporates a full-length Picatinny rail and M-LOK attachment points on the handguard. The stock is a folding, adjustable stock with a built-in cheek rest and multiple length-of-pull settings.
