Up for sale is a high-quality Harrington & Richardson (H&R) reproduction of the U.S. Model 1873 Cavalry Model Springfield Trapdoor Carbine, chambered in .45-70 Govt.

​Features beautiful wood furniture, excellent finish, and a solid mechanical action. This is a fantastic, reliable way to shoot a legendary piece of American cavalry history with modern manufacturing metallurgy and tolerances. Clean and very well-maintained.

No factory box. This is a reproduction gun meant to be shot, not a wall hanging original springfield trapdoor rifle. I have only shot smokeless trapdoor rifle rounds through it, haven’t shot black powder 45-70 through it.
