This is a DIY kit that you can use to create your own replica of an M18 Style Smoke Can!
I have designed this kit to be as simple and as quick to deploy as possible. Requiring only two steps to assemble the can and make it ready for use!
The original M18 was created by the US. army in 1945 and was used in WWII. It was used for ground-to-ground or ground-to-air signaling and also as a target for landing zone marking device, or for giving soldiers a smoke screen cover to move safely through the battlefield.
When considering the price, Know that I make all of this from scratch. Also know you can buy USED , empty, inert M18 cans on gunbroker for $125.00+ each! You get to have your own functioning replica for just $25! If you need more than one, Message me and I will be happy to accommodate you.
The can comes empty, there is a ziplock bag filled with a pre measured and pre-mixed smoke mixture. All you have to do is open the bag and pour it into the can, then screw the lid onto the can just like a water bottle cap.
When you are ready to use the M18, grip the can in your hand and with your other hand, firmly pull up on the pull ring to ignite the M18.
The mixture will produce thick smoke and burn for approximately a minute. The exothermic reaction is quite hot, so please be sure to only use outdoors in a safe area with no combustible items like dry grass nearby. Make sure you have quick access to water just incase.
