Custom Savage 6.5×280 Ackley

Description

This is a one of a kind custom rifle that is perfectly suited for the guy looking something unique. Performance is somewhere between the 6.5 PRC and the .264 Win Mag. It started its life as a Savage 116. Since then I have added a 24″ Wilson threaded and fluted barrel chambered by Preece Precision. I have also had the bolt body fluted and the handle threaded for a custom bolt knob. In addition, I also hand lapped the bolt, for a real smooth throw, and added a target trigger spring, which allows for some nice trigger adjustment. It has a custom Cerakote job done by Desert Sage Armory. I dropped it in a Boyds At One stock because I really like the adjustability of it for different shooters. It has had about 250 rounds through it up to this point and has never been carried in the field. Reloading is a snap. All you need is a .280 Ackley bushing die with a .264 bushing of your choice.  The price is without the scope. I will leave the 20 MOA base on it. I will also include the load data I have up to this point for the 127gr LRX and 156gr Berger, both of which are 5 shots under 3/4″ at 100. If you would like the scope as well add $700 to the price.
