Description
Offered for sale is a desirable early-production Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket semi-automatic pistol, chambered in .25 ACP. Serial number 21218 dates this pistol to approximately 1909, making it an early example of Colt’s classic John Browning-designed pocket pistol.
This Colt features a blued finish, approximately 2-inch barrel, fixed sights, grip safety and manual safety. It is fitted with attractive checkered walnut grips with inset Colt medallions. The pistol retains a substantial amount of its older finish, with expected edge wear, thinning and handling marks consistent with a firearm more than a century old. The Colt slide markings and Hartford address remain visible, as shown in the photographs. No refinishing or restoration is represented.
