Description
Christensen Mesa in 300 Win Mag, I have two other Christensen Mesa rifles that both shoot really good. I saw this one and wanted to give the 300 Win Mag a try. I’ve had it for a couple years now, and have never taken it hunting.
I would consider trades / part trades for 7mm-08 rifles, or 10mm pistols.
It shoots a 180 grain Nosler Accubond at 3000 ft./s Always under 1 inch, and one of the groups when I was testing for the load shot at .3 inches with three shots. These are great rifles with a really good trigger, they look nice and this one has never been outside of The Gun cabinet or shooting bench. It’s never been scratched or damaged in anyway.
It has a Leupold VX3 HD 4.5 – 14 x 40 scope, duplex reticle, with a custom turret for the load. It’s zeroed at 250 yards and the dial will take you out to just shy of 800 yards on the dial. Great set up for a hunting rifle.
It has had 60 rounds fired through it since new, and I have the once fired brass and the remaining loaded ammunition. The load is a 180 grain Nosler Accubond with 78 grains of H1000 in an ADG case. I also have a set of loading dies, and one more full case of 50 new ADG brass.
I was given a 300 Weatherby Mag that is my dad’s rifle, and so I don’t really need two 30 caliber magnums.
Rifle no optic or rings $800
Rifle with optic $1300
Add RCBS Dies and 100 brass -with or without optic (50 new brass, 50 once fired with some still loaded) $125
New cost to me was :
$1100 rifle
$675 scope and rings
$150 for 100 pieces of brass
$50 loading dies
(Basically $2k and change)
