Enfield .410 musket, Ishapore converted SMLE

Description

Lee- Enfield 410 musket. This interesting firearm started life in 1917 as a SMLE rifle produced by the Ishapor arsenal in India. In 1940 this gun was professionally converted ,to caliber .410 ( By the same arsenal ) for use as an police/prison/anti-riot firearm.

This gun has all the original markings and the correct stock markings. Action has most of its original blueing and bore is bright and shiny. These firearms were imported by Springfield and “Sporterised” by removing the upper wooden barrel protector and shortening before Stock. These except standard 410 shotgun rounds. A Functional and utilitarian piece of history at a reasonable price!
