Description

Webley & Scott Mark IV .38 “WAR FINISH” – All matching serial numbers (48524) and appropriate acceptance/proof marks. All original finish with patina. No refinish or polishing.

This particular Mark IV was produced 1940 or 1941, as an early accepted and issued revolver. This is a WAR FINISH model, meaning it was produced to meet military requirements, but forgo high polish and time consuming finishing processes. Per the markings, it was accepted into military inventory and likely issued to NCO’s or Officers in the European or African theaters.

Revolver fully functions and all mechanical parts are in good condition. The bore is bright and clean with no significant dark spots, heavy carbon fouling, or obvious deep pitting visible. The rifling is sharp and well-defined — the spiral lands and grooves show clear, continuous definition all the way around.

This is an excellent collector example of a WW2 British-issued Webley.
