Remington 870 Wingmaster – From the 70’s

Remington 870 Wingmaster is the premium, flagship variation of the Remington Model 870, which is widely recognized as the best-selling pump-action shotgun in firearms history. Introduced by Remington in 1950, the Wingmaster is celebrated by hunters and sport shooters for its high-gloss blued finish, deep-grained American walnut stock, and ultra-smooth pump action.

My father asked for a handgun for protection, I talked him into the Remington Wingmaster in 12ga. if he really had to put someone down. A shot from a .44 mag could go through a lot of walls, possibly hurting an inocent bystander.  It sat in his coset for twenty years until he passed away.

When I bought this shotgun, I chose a curly burl piece of walnut for the pizaz.  From the serial number and letters stamped on the barrel, I believe the gun was manufactured in the late 70’s.  Sell for $400.00  The are two small spots of discoloration that can be touched up quite inexpensively.
