Looking to sell or trade my Ruger security 9 full size not the compact 9mm.

This was purchased by me new from scheels in south Jordan 2/2026. It’s been a great first firearm for me but as I’ve gotten more experience and started to find my preferences I’ve used this one less and less as my edc due to its size and I have a desire to branch into other calibers.

I’ve done a couple of upgrades already to it and it’s had just over 550 rounds through it with cleaning after every use.

1. It has the upgraded Galloway stainless steel guide rod and spring for added durability and stability. The spring has been upgraded to the heavier 22 pounds to reduce felt recoil and better handling (I have the factory guide rod and 17 pound spring still as well & it will be included)
2. Hogue olive drab color grip sleeve for more comfort and great grip ergonomics.
3. A low profile under barrel green dot laser (included with charger)
4. 6 extended capacity 17 round magazines from mag shack plus the original 2 15 round magazines from Ruger (they all cycle perfectly). Ammo in pictures not included but wanted to show how it looks as a full bug out kit which is what I’ve built up for.
5. The slide ramp of the barrel has been polished for smoother action and faster follow up shots.
6. After market tsa approved water /air tight travel case lockable and with foam cut out for 4 17rd magazine under and the 2 15rd on top + the firearm. Perfect for the road or to store safely at home.

I will include a slide lock cable through mag key log that came from Ruger with it originally for safer storage and a conceal carry waist holster for it as well.

Perfect firearm as a back up or for travel where you don’t want to bring your $2000 favorite.

Buyer must be Utah resident with Utah drivers license or valid CCW. Must be willing to sign bill of sale.

I will consider trades for equal value. I’m in the market for anything in 22 wmg pistols to cut down on range costs or 22lr pistols. I will also consider anything 9mm carbine, shotgun, level action, or vintage ww2 era stuff.
