AMT Lightning 25/22 (Stainless Ruger 10/22 clone)

Description

AMT took Ruger’s design and made it better! AMT made this clone of the classic Ruger 10/22, but made it customized with an heavy barrel and stainless. Ruger sued them for it, and eventually started making their own stainless 10/22s.

This gun is all stainless and weather resistant, with a synthetic stock. The action and all internal mechanisms are identical to and interchangeable with 10/22 parts. The stock is also interchangeable with 10/22 stocks. The Tasco 3-9 power scope compliments it well.

I bought this gun new from Gallenson’s when I was a teenager in the 1980s. Used it for a lot of years… but it’s just sat in the back of the safe for a couple decades. Time for someone else to enjoy it. It’s too cool of a gun to just sit in the safe.

It’s compatible with 10/22 mags and accessories. Lots of guys love these when building out custom 10/22’s with suppressors and folding stocks. The heavy stainless steel barrel looks great on custom builds.

Rock solid gun. The synthetic stock has some scratches and wear, but the metal parts are in great condition. Gun works flawlessly.
