Up for grabs is a very clean and reliable Egyptian Maadi MISR S/A semi-automatic rifle, chambered in 7.62x39mm. This is a genuine Cold War-era design built by the Maadi Company in Egypt using original Russian tooling and specs—imported by Century Arms International (CAI) out of St. Albans, VT. Markings are clear and correct: “MADE BY MAADI CO IN EGYPT / IMPORTER BY CENTURY ARMS INT’L CO … ALB VT” on the receiver, with “MISR S/A” and caliber stamps.
This one stands out with its eye-catching custom Russian red laminate wood furniture—full set including pistol grip, upper/lower handguards, and fixed stock. The vibrant reddish-orange laminate finish is glossy, well-applied, and gives it that classic enhanced Soviet “Russian red” look that’s super popular in the AK community.
