UGE’s Tips for Buying and Selling
Buying and Selling online is a fun and exciting endeavor. The main function of UGE is buying and selling Firearms, Ammo and anything that is within the scope of the 2nd Amendment. It’s an economical way to buy, sell or trade your items. But, like everything, getting the best results with your ads on UGE depends on how you write your ad.
Here are some tips for Selling on UGE.
1. Do Your Research
Search UGE for similar items to see what categories people use and to get a better idea of current selling prices of your item. This can also help you choose keywords to use in your title (e.g. use the keywords that are getting the most page views).
2. Be Honest and Add Good Images
Always be accurate and honest in your ad. The more details you provide, the less time you’ll spend in responding to e-mails and phone calls. Be sure to upload at least one or two clear photos of the item you are selling. UGE allows you to include three images (up to 5MB) with each ad.
3. Write a Good, Detailed Description
Once you’ve rounded-up key information about your item, you’re ready to create a quick, effective ad that will make your item stand out from the rest. With a good, detailed description, the right keywords and a few good photos, you can ensure you draw in the potential buyers who are most likely to be interested in your item.
And for those that are here to buy, there are a few things for you too.
1. Read the Ad Carefully and Fully
There’s nothing worse that calling on something and going to see it only to realize you missed something important about the item. Read the description carefully and in full. Prepare a list of important questions that you want to ask the seller before calling. Once speaking to the seller make sure to ask a lot of questions. This will insure you are getting what you want in the sale.
2. Respect the Seller
Sometimes the seller is more than willing to be negotiable with the price or other details about the item, but sometimes they are not. When you see “Price Is Firm” within the description you may offend them if you are attempting to get it for a lower price.
3. Be Reasonable
When you see an item that normally lists for a certain price, don’t “Lowball” the seller. This will most certainly insure you will not get the item you want. Buy within your means and you wont have a problem with this.
These are just a few tips that will help better your experience here at UGE. Please enjoy your time here at UGE.
Sincerely,
The UGE Team
