If guns could talk…This is a Winchester model 12 in trench gun configuration with bayonet.  This shotgun was made in 1914 and has the capability of slam firing when the trigger is held down while working the pump.  This was a common feature among many of the early Winchester, Remington and Stevens trench guns. The Model 12 trench gun was used in World War I, World War II, Korea, and in the early part of the Vietnam War.  I have no provenance to suggest that this particular shotgun was in the military arsenal.  It functions perfectly and has a bright and shiny bore.  It has a beautiful patina and the WWI six row of holes heatshield.  The bayonet is not a reproduction and was made by Remington.  By its self the bayonet can bring between $100-$200 dollars.  This shotgun is worth much more than I am asking.
